Families Love Ooranga

Our children always enjoy Pine Ridge playgroup in the relaxed and fun environment.

Amy Shultz

Mother

By having an Ooranga Preschool in Boggabri, Charlie has been able to meet other kids his own age who will continue their schooling together in the years to come, developing long-term friendships. Chris and Paula create a safe and caring environment where there is a wonderful balance between learning and play. They have a genuine caring for the kids and this is reflected by the love and respect the kids have for them. By attending an Ooranga Preschool, I know Charlie has access to a wide range of appropriate toys, activities and wonderful teachers.

We really appreciate Ooranga running 2 days of preschool service in Boggabri as there is nothing else around for young kids from the age of 3. Kids get the opportunity to socialise without parents in tow, get to play with a great range of toys and equipment, do lots of craft and playful learning. I drop my daughter off with great peace of mind knowing she’ll be well looked after and guided by the great staff here in Boggabri.

Ooranga van service is a vital part of our local playgroup meetings. The staff are always friendly and have valuable ideas for new activities for the kids.

Being a mother of a child with autism I love taking advantage of the range of therapy and sensory equipment at the Ooranga Toy Library. Being able to access the library during school times is convenient as I can take time to browse the wide range of toys and equipment and the lovely ladies are alwaysup for a friendly chat. It's hard to keep kids occupied these days. Our membership means we can borrow new toys every fortnight so my son is never bored. I'm so grateful for our toy library!

I love that it gives us access to toys we wouldn’t ordinarily buy (big tractor/trailer, music sets, etc).
I love that the Toy Library is affordable.
I love that I can borrow toys appropriate for my sons age, without having to buy them (especially considering the rate children grow/develop/lose interest in things between theages of 0-5).
I love there is a great range of toys!
I love that my house stays toy clutter free because we can return them!
I love that we can swap them as often as we like, or keep them for 2 weeks.
I love that the staff are friendly and experienced in recommending toys appropriate for my childs age.
I love that they Toy Library is open Monday - Friday (added bonus that theres a bathroom in there!).
I love that my son loves the Toy Library too!

I enrolled my children at Ooranga’s preschool because it was close to home but now what keeps my children in the service is the staff. They are kind, friendly and caring towards the children. The staff are always willing to listen if I have any problems which I think is very respectful. Also my children form friendships with the staff and most importantly with the other children. My children learn basic skills and have loads of fun too. My children always look forward to going to preschool.

Pine Ridge playgroup is a fun-filled and social two hours for both kids and parents. The fantastic staff make it a great outing each fortnight.

Mother

We have been members of the Toy Library since William was 6 months old. He is now four and is joined on fortnightly trips by his sister who is one. We love the great range and diversity of toys that are available to match the developmental milestones of their growth and maturation.
What a wonderful resource for a small town! The Toy Library is very affordable saves a fortune on buying expensive toys that catch their attention for a short time. Lending toys has also instilled a lovely respect in our children for the borrowing and sharing of other people’s things.

The kids have a fantastic time playing, doing arts and crafts.
The staff are great and very helpful. It’s is a great opportunity to catch up with other mums and have a chat.

Ooranga Playgroup is a great way for my children to interact with other children. For children and families living in rural areas, services like Ooranga Playgroup and Toy Library are vital. We attend two playgroups each fortnight, a service we are grateful to have.
